Brazilian manicure and pedicure technique

The Brazilian manicure and pedicure technique is internationally recognised for its meticulous approach, which focuses on the complete removal of the cuticle, resulting in a ‘deep’ finish and flawless polish. Unlike methods used in other countries, the Brazilian technique aims to thoroughly clean the area around the nail so that the polish lasts longer and the nails look perfectly clean. Key Features of the Brazilian Technique:

1 - Cuticle nippers are used extensively to remove all dead skin around the nail (“deep cuticle removal”).

2 - Cleaning with a stick is crucial. An orange wood stick or metal stick is used to run along the sides, ‘pushing back’ the polish from the skin and creating a clean, defined outline.

3 - The polish is applied to cover right up to the cuticle, ensuring there are no gaps at the base of the nail.

4 - The finish is refined using a stick, cotton wool and acetone to remove any smudges, leaving a perfect outline.
